HUMANS VS EARTH

’In the 21st century it will be very likely that there will be wars fought over water. Not oil. For there are substitutes for oil. But there is no substitute, WHATSOEVER, for water." - Bill Cooper, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UCI Irvine

'We're all in the Same Bucket: Humans vs Earth' is a simple, 5 minute public performance, dealing with climate change, specifically focusing on imminent water shortages. We know the future, we make action movies about it: the world is desert, the tops of our great skyscrapers poke up from the sea. Yet we continue as we are.

Our children will look back at us in horror, at our insanity. And we know it, NOW. Yet I, along with most of us, keep drinking water from plastic, eat meat, burn non renewable resources. And will, until the day I’m forced to drink my own urine, cannibalize children, roam in packs at night to avoid the blazing sun …

Well, that’s what the movies I watch for entertainment say, anyway.
